March 2016

We are pleased to announce an update to C Process Modeller:  CPM 1.4.2

What's new in CPM 1.4.2?

Dates now logged in local time and UTC

Dates in UTC and Local Time as well as row numbers are now recorded in the Alarm Log and the Limits File. Co-requisite compatibility changes are implemented in CVE 2.7.1. The GPC Animator accepts limits files with dates, but does not display any date information.

Bigger Envelopes

The maximum number of variables in an Operating Envelope has been increased from 100 to 125. The maximum number of data rows in one model-building pass remains at 200,000 but the User Guide explains how to exceed this number using a multi-pass method of building envelopes.

New Development Edition

A development edition that times out after 24 hours of running is sufficient for initial testing of models against near-real-time process historian data, operator training simulators and DCS. All facilities of CPM are available.

Improved OPC Server Monitoring

More informative messages for OPC Server and/or OPC Tunneller issues. CPM supports multiple OPC Server connections.

Write-out of Alert Limits via OPC

HiLo Alert Limits, heartbeat tags and alarm running totals may be written out to via OPC to process historians. Multiple OPC destinations supported.

Improved Sensitivity Scaling

The logarithmic Sensitivity scale has been supplemented with an Expansion factor given as a percentage.

Missing Value Handling

Missing variable values when building envelopes are now correctly accounted for in single envelopes, multi-phase batch and grade change multi-envelopes and nested inner envelopes. Co-requisite changes made in CVE are use of the Save for CPM function.

Updated User Guide

The CPM User Guide has been updated and new content added.
