Visual Explorer (CVE)
Visual Explorer (CVE) uses the clear multi-variable presentation of the parallel coordinate transformation to show hundreds of process variables and their dependencies and interactions. The eagle’s-eye perspective on all process variables at once enables a revolutionary and very large step forward for Data Analysis.
Using CVE, product quality, yields and throughput of continuous and batch processes can be improved and energy usage, emissions and waste reduced. Consistent Alarm Limits can be developed that increase process safety as well as saving man-hours both in the initial alarm rationalisation and ever after in alarm management How? Through the improved process understanding that results from being able, at last, to visualise the entire process and, through seeing, quickly understand both the simple and the complex interactions of the process variables to a fundamentally greater depth.
CVE can be used on any process for which historical data has been collected. It has successfully been used for process improvement in industries such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, glass, plastics and aircraft component production processes. Your historical operating data and offline quality measurements contains incredible amounts of information about how the process behaves. Before Visual Explorer this information was very difficult to extract due to the limitations of the humble XY or XYZ graph. CVE’s breakthrough is that it uses a novel technique to display every variable in the process and its interactions on one 2D display.
