Process Modeller (CPM)

Process Modeller (CPM) uses the GPC technology to model the operating envelope of a process and show it to the user in a real-time “you are here” display of the many variables. Real-time optimisation is achieved by finding sub-spaces of the envelope where secondary objectives, such as energy minimisation, are also achieved. In alarm systems, CPM generates alerts that have the objective of keeping the process inside the fixed HiLo Alarm Limits found by CVE, allowing an increased level of process safety.
CPM applies to continuous single or multi-mode processes, to multi-phase batch processes and to unsteady state operations such as process start-up. It will advise how to correct for faulty process operation or cure an operator alert by generating corrective advice either for the process operator or for output to the setpoints of an existing control system. All of this is achieved without requiring any mathematics from the developers or users.
The model that makes all this possible is auto-generated from your existing plant data. There are no expensive mathematical models or rules-databases to build or maintain. Its unique operator display is simple to use and is picked up in minutes. Management has access to a display that tells, at a glance, whether the process is under control. No maths is required – unlike methods such as statistical process control. Process knowledge and operations know-how is automatically extracted from your data and encapsulated in the software.
CPM uses only the variables that your process operators are familiar with already, keeping operator acceptability high and training times short.
