PPCL Webinars
Training Webinars
Training Sessions have always been available at customer sites, but customers are moving steadily toward
internet-based training via webinars. Webinars are
cheaper and allow you to hold more-frequent, smaller training modules rather than whole day sessions which are often difficult to find the time for. It also helps
prevent information overload.
PPCL offers monthly webinars on a range of topics. These webinars cover a different aspect of
GPC products each month and last less than an hour. The idea is to
take PPCL software to the next level and allow you the ability to
get the most from your purchase. The webinar format is very informal and PPCL specialised consultants are more than happy to take questions as the webinar progresses. Special topic or previous webinars can also be scheduled upon request.

Batch processes involve a number of complexities not normally seen in continuous processes. This webinar shows the application of PPCL's novel visualization and control technology to multi-stage, multi-phase batch processes, allowing you for the first time to link process conditions through the entire manufacturing process to final qualities.
We will show the use of CVE to quickly identify target operating conditions for all phases of your batch process and touch on the extensions of operating envelopes to time-varying trajectories with CPM. |

Equipment failure and other abnormal operation events can be detected and sometimes predicted with PPCL’s application of operating envelopes. GPC technology provides a framework to define, visualise, and apply process operating envelopes in real-time. Using envelopes built on normal, fault-free behaviour, excursions out of this envelope can indicate impending or immediate events.
This webinar covers an introduction to operating envelope models, and looks at applications in detecting and predicting mechanical failure, paper breaks, pack-offs and leak detection.

Geometric Process Control (GPC) is a technology which uses n-dimensional geometry to take historical process data and increase process understanding and control. The technology is a unique, patented solution which offers the ability to reduce costs, increase yield, control environmental emissions, predict faults and more. The webinar will demonstrate the first method for finding Operating Envelopes and show how they can save money through process stewardship, alarm rationalisation and management. These applications including finding alarm limits, optimising operating limits, tracking and directing process improvement and we will introduce the more advanced topics based on Operating Envelope models such as low-cost condition monitoring, fault detection and prediction, dynamic alerts, batch and continuous process control and real-time optimisation. This webinar takes you through how and why GPC technology can improve your process. |

Operator alarms are the first line of defence for any plant. And yet there’s never been a practical way to find values for process alarm limits which also meet KPI’s. GPC provides a scientifically based and user friendly method to find alarm limits. This results in not only better alarm limits, but fewer false alarms and much tighter alarm limits resulting in improved economics from a better operating process. This webinar takes you through the how and why alarm rationalisation can be improved with PPCL software. |
